Our History

1959
Like many of our customers in the area, Winston Heat Treating’s original roots are tied to the tool and die industry. In 1959, four brothers and one sister joined together to start a machine shop, then named Lahm Tool & Die Company. Over the years the business evolved and focused primarily on the local automotive market, specifically General Motors.
2015

Winston Heat Treating completes its most significant expansion yet, adding over 15,000 square feet of new manufacturing space while also acquiring nearly another 10,000 square feet in an adjacent property. The expansion project also includes considerable renovations throughout the existing facility and exterior of the plant.
2017
Winston Heat Treating receives the “Commercial Heat Treater of the Year” award from the Industrial Heating magazine. Only 21 other companies have previously received this international recognition, which is presented for demonstrating excellence in one’s pollution/waste prevention, quality programs and community involvement.
